Oral history collection, 1983-1985.

Twenty-nine cassette tapes and user copies of interviews conducted with thirty-one individuals who recall work, the trolley, local merchants and businesses, farming, homes, buildings, trips, special events, and organizations in Northport. Persons interviewed by the Northport Public Library are Jesse Carll, Philip O. Carr, Thomas Chesebrough, Florence Clark, Percy Erwin, Leland Fox, Anton Frederick, Mrs. Charles Hawkins, Louis H. Jones, Hiram P. Ketcham, Hatti Morell, Charles Mott, Edna Olmstead, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Partridge, Edna Pidgeon, Salvadora Porterfield, and Lillian Robbins. Persons interviewed by the Northport Historical Society are Irma Blair, John Blydenburgh, Mabel Carll, Rudolph Ketcham, Vernon Martin, Effie Clerke Mott, Catherine Richmond, Donald and Alma Robbins, Ella Sullivan, Harry Taylor, and Joan and Dorothy Wallace. Interviews have not been transcribed.
